Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى إيجاد منهجية واضحة لترجمة المصطلحات العلمية من الإنجليزية إلى العربية، ومن أجل ذلك فقد سعينا إلى إبراز مختلف الصعوبات التي يصادفها المترجم العلمي والأدوات الترجمية التي تمكنه من تخطيها. ولبلوغ مسعانا فقد قسمنا بحثنا إلى أربعة فصول: الأول أثبتنا فيه مساهمات الحضارات المختلفة في علم الفلك عبر العصور، والثاني بينا فيه كون المعجم الثنائي أو النص المعجمي نوع كباقي أنواع النصوص بمداخله وترجماتها وتعريفاتها وعلاقتها بتقنيات الترجمة، والثالث أحصينا فيه أسماء الأجرام وصنفناها وبينا تقنيات ترجمتها، والرابع خصصناه لتقديم المدونة وتحليل نماذج مختارة من أسماء الأجرام ونقدها، وخلصنا إلى ضرورة وضع المصطلح العلمي في إطاره التاريخي والثقافي وتتبع حيثيات تشكله وتغير شكلهودلالته من أجل اختيار تقنية الترجمة المناسبة لنقله. The present research aims to find a methodology for translating scientific terms from English into Arabic. To achieve this, we have sought to highlight the various difficulties scientific translator encounters, and appropriatetranslation tools toovercoming them. To reach our endeavor, we divided our research into four chapters: the first demonstrates contributions of different civilizations in the field of astronomy throughout history. The second reveals the textual structure of bilingual dictionary, and its relationship to translation techniques. The third is a counting and classification of celestial objects’ names for demonstrating translation techniques involved in the transfer. In the fourth, we present the corpus, select, analyse, and criticiseexamples of celestial objects’ names. At the end, we urge the importance of historical and cultural contexts in tracing scientific terms’ formation and changing of form and meaning in order to use suitable translation techniques to convey them
