La construcción de la literatura de Oriente en Occidente: Análisis del discurso orientalista en las Leyendas y Rimas de Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer

Abstract

En el siglo XIX aparecieron grandes literatos romanticistas occidentales interesados en las antiguas civilizaciones orientales poseedoras de distintos textos míticos y legendarios. Con esto, hemos procurado indagar en el orientalismo visto a través de ojos occidentales románticos, tal como es el caso del sevillano Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer que puso de relieve unas técnicas orientales en algunas de sus rimas y leyendas para escribir unos textos con un discurso oriental, focalizado en el folklore oriental, exclusivamente los distintos componentes arábigo-andaluces e hindúes que jalonan el discurso narrativo y poético de nuestro escritor, orientando nuestra investigación hacia el estudio de su estilo, sus temas, sus personajes, y el cronotopo empleados en su labor a través de un discurso nutrido de elementos y valores artísticos orientales In the 19th century, great Western romanticist writers appeared interested in ancient Eastern civilizations that possessed different mythical and legendary texts. With this, we have tried to investigate orientalism seen through romantic Western eyes, such as the case of the Sevillian Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer who highlighted some oriental techniques in some of his rhymes and legends to write texts with an oriental discourse, focused on oriental folklore, exclusively the different Arabic-Andalusian and Hindu components that mark the narrative and poetic discourse of our writer, directing our research towards the study of its style, its themes, its characters, and the chronotope used in its work through a discourse nourished by oriental artistic elements and values
