موقف محمد إدريس من الاحتلال الايطالي في ليبيا

Abstract

This article deals with the political role of Muhammad Idris Al-Senussi in order to liberate Libya from the Italian occupation and later the British occupation, as he received his leadership duties for the Senussi movement from his cousin in 1918 AD to begin his work to take over the affairs of the country. Thus, due to his political acumen that he gained from his scientific formation and contact with Arab and British personalities while he was outside Libya, he gained knowledge and awareness of political transformations and developments on an internal and external scale. Therefore, on this basis, Muhammad Al-Idris worked to keep pace with the colonial powers as a temporary stage to open the western borders of Egypt and lift the siege on the people of Barakah, which became threatened with famine, as well as the inequality of the resistance with the colonial powers, especially after the robbery of the Senussi army following the failure of the resistance of Mr. Ahmed Al-Sharif Al-Senussi. However, with the outbreak of World War II, Muhammad Idris adopted a different policy, taking advantage of Italy’s joining the war, where he allied himself with Britain in exchange for self-determination of the Libyan people. يتناول هذا المقال الدور السياسي لمحمد إدريس السنوسي في سبيل تحرير ليبيا من الاحتلال الايطالي والاحتلال البريطاني فيما بعد ، حيث استلم مهامه القيادية للحركة السنوسية من ابن عمه 1918م لمباشرة عمله على تولي شؤون البلاد، و نظرا لحنكته السياسية التي اكتسبها من تكوينه العلمي و احتكاكه بشخصيات عربية و بريطانية أثناء تواجده خارج ليبيا، جعلته يكتسب معرفة و دراية بالتحولات و التطورات السياسية على الداخلي و الخارجي، و على هذا الأساس عمل على مسايرة القوى الاستعمارية كمرحلة مؤقتة لفتح الحدود الغربية لمصر و فك الحصار على أهل برقة التي أصبحت مهددة بالمجاعة ،و كذا عدم تكافوء المقاومة مع القوى الاستعمارية، لكن مع اندلاع ح.ع .2 انتهج سياسة مغايرة مستغلا انضمام ايطاليا إلى الحرب، حيث تحالف مع بريطانيا مقابل تقرير مصير الشعب الليبي.
