Abstract

يعد استخدام العجائن في ملء فراغات الفخار الأثري من أهم تقنيات ترميم الآثار حيث يهدف إلى الحفاظ على الشكل الأصلي ودعم البنية الضعيفة للقطعة، تعتمد هذه العملية على اختيار مواد تتوافق في خصائصها الفيزيائية والكيميائية مع الفخار مثل الجبس، الجير، أو الراتنجات الصناعية. وتعد الملاءمة عاملا حاسما إذ يجب أن تحقق العجينة التوازن بين الصلابة والاستقرار وقابلية الإزالة بما يتماشى مع مبادئ صيانة التراث الثقافي، كما ينبغي أن تكون مميزة بصريا بشكل طفيف دون التأثير على القيمة الجمالية. تشمل مراحل التطبيق تنظيف القطعة وتثبيت الأجزاء، ملء الفراغات، ثم التشطيب النهائي ويتم تقييم النجاح من خلال الفحص البصري والاختبارات الميكانيكية والبيئية، لذلك فإن اختيار العجينة المناسبة يتطلب خبرة علمية دقيقة لضمان حماية القطعة الأثرية واستدامتها. The use of fillers to reconstruct missing parts of archaeological pottery is a fundamental practice in Archaeological Conservation, aiming to preserve the original form and reinforce structurally weak areas. This process relies on selecting materials that are physically and chemically compatible with the ceramic body, such as plaster, lime-based mixtures, or synthetic resins. Compatibility is a critical factor, as the filler must balance strength, stability, and reversibility, in accordance with the principles of Cultural Heritage Conservation. Additionally, the fill material should be slightly distinguishable from the original to prevent falsification while maintaining aesthetic integrity. The application process includes cleaning the object, securing fragments, filling gaps, and final surface finishing. Evaluation is conducted through visual inspection and mechanical and environmental testing. Therefore, selecting an appropriate filler requires scientific expertise to ensure long-term preservation and stability of the artifact.
