Abstract
Autism was not known as a neurodevelopmental disorder with special needs as it is now, hence some delay is observed in the implementation of the care of autistic children as a fringe that has need continuous support and accompaniment in all areas of life, especially with regard to education in early life. The objective of this paper is to shed light on the Current situation of autism spectrum disorder in Algeria, including available statistics on the prevalence of the disorder and its early diagnosis. Our interest is mainly focused on the schooling of autistic children in mainstream schools, given the importance of education and learning in early life.
