dc.description.abstractThis study aims to introduce the relationship between Libyan Berber inscriptions and North African rock art scenes by analyzing and studying Libyan script and rock art separately, and comparing the results of each study. The historical roots of writing and its possibility of extending to rock art scenes. This research provides many results, the most prominent of which is that the various parts of Libyan Berber script, although with different letters, may appear in rock art scenes because they share the same style and achievement techniques. The geometric form accompanying rock art scenes may be simplified to the form of pre letter symbols, paving the way for the emergence of writing. Therefore, rock painting can be seen as pictorial writingar_AR
