Item Emotional Intelligence (ei) In Interpreter Training In Algeria(المجلة الجزائرية لعلوم اللسان - كلية اللغة العربية وأدابها - جامعة الجزائر 02 أبو القاسم سعد الله, 2025-06-12) Daoud, Yasmine; Kobouch, Abdesleme BelkacemThis pilot study investigates the perceptions and application of Emotional Intelligence (EI) among interpreter educators in Algeria. An online survey was administered to 23 interpreter educators from various higher education institutions during February 2024. The bilingual (English and French) questionnaire comprised nine (09) items—including multiple-choice, Likert scale, and open-ended questions—designed to assess participants’ familiarity with EI, its perceived impact on interpreting training, and its current integration into teaching practices. The survey also gathered participants’ age range but further background details such as professional affiliation and experience have not been required for ethical considerations (data confidentiality). Although the sample is limited, the findings provide preliminary insights and highlight the need for broader investigations in future research. Some disciplines were developed by the intersection of two disciplines or more. This is thecase of the analysis of literary discourse. Born from the intersection of Linguistics with literature, this discipline has the favorite place for interdisciplinarity, especially in relation to objects such as the dialogism. In this regard, the history of dialogism, which was born in literature and has migrated to the language studies, also its multidisciplinary nature of this phenomenon made that it could be approached only in the light of a confirmed interdisciplinarity. So, the interdisciplinarity required in the treatment of this phenomenon is the subject of this work.
