Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the effectiveness of the Compilatio.net software in detecting plagiarism and analyzes its contribution to improving the quality of academic research, while identifying the challenges associated with its implementation. A descriptive–analytical approach was adopted, and data were collected from a sample of 33 faculty members and doctoral researchers at the National School of Hydraulics Engineering (Blida). The findings reveal that, since its adoption in 2018, the software has been used mainly as a preventive tool, contributing to a reduction in plagiarism practices and to increased awareness of research ethics. However, several challenges were identified, particularly limited user proficiency and the absence of a standardized institutional policy governing its use. Accordingly, the study recommends the implementation of structured training programs, the enhancement of the software’s capabilities to include multilingual and cross-language plagiarism detection, and the integration of research ethics education within academic curricula. تبحث هذه الدراسة في فعالية برمجية Compilatio.net في الكشف عن السرقة العلمية، وتحلل مساهمتها في تحسين جودة البحوث الأكاديمية، مع تحديد التحديات المرتبطة بتطبيقها. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وجُمِعت البيانات من عينة مكونة من 33 عضواً من هيئة التدريس وباحثي الدكتوراه بالمدرسة الوطنية العليا للري (البليدة). وتكشف النتائج أنه منذ اعتماد البرمجية في عام 2018، استُخدمت أساساً كأداة وقائية، مما ساهم في الحد من ممارسات السرقة العلمية وزيادة الوعي بأخلاقيات البحث. ومع ذلك، تم تحديد عدة تحديات، لا سيما محدودية مهارات المستخدمين وغياب سياسة مؤسسية موحدة تحكم استخدامها. وبناءً على ذلك، توصي الدراسة بتنفيذ برامج تدريبية منظمة، وتعزيز قدرات البرمجية لتشمل الكشف عن السرقة العلمية متعددة اللغات وعبر اللغات (الترجمة)، ودمج تعليم أخلاقيات البحث ضمن المناهج الأكاديمية
