Abstract
Our research aims to highlight the
tendency of pupils, all cycles
concerned, to the anarchic consumption
of processed foodstuffs, saturated with
oils, sugars, salts, as well as fast food
with poor nutritional value, while there
is a lack of school restaurants, as they
only provide nutrition for first cycle’s
pupils and some of the other cycles’
ones.
The research was conducted on a
sample that included 96 students,
including 40 females and 56 males,
whose ages ranged between 6-21 years
and belonged to the three stages.
The study concluded that the
healthy food pyramid adopted by the
World Health Organization and all
bodies concerned with the health of
individuals in general and the health of
children in particular does not contain
many of its elements in the diet of
students.
