تطوّر صناعة الزّجاج عبر العصور

Abstract

يعتبر الزّجاج مادّة أثرية وعنصر من العناصر الأساسية التي استخدمت في الماضي في تطبيقات متنوعة بمفردها أو مركبة مع غيرها، فقد أسدل الزمن على اكتشاف الزجاج ستارا كثيفا من الغموض وهذا في حد ذاته أدى إلى تضارب الأقوال وكثرة الرّوايات حول نشأة صناعة الزجاج وتاريخها وموطنها الأصلي، ولا يقتصر دور الزجاج على نفعه فإن له جمالا يتبدى بوضوح في ألوانه المتألقة لذا فإن المؤرخين والباحثين المختصين يرون أن الشعوب التي اعتنت بتلك الصناعات والفنون هي الشعوب التي سبقت غيرها في الرؤية المستقبلية. يمكن القول بأن بمرور وتعاقب السنين والقرون تبدلت حال الزجاج من حرفة إلى صناعة، وكان لتطور العلوم والبصريات والتضافر بين الزجاج وزيادة الطلب عليه وتحسين مواصفاته الدور البارز في تحويل الزجاج من حرفة إلى علم. حيث أصبحت بعض المناطق التي تصنع هذه مادة من المناطق المزدهرة باعتبارها مادة قيّمة. Abstract: Glass is considered an archaeological material and one of the basic elements that was used in ancient times in various applications, alone or in combination with others. Time has cast a thick veil of mystery over the discovery of glass, and this in itself has led to conflicting statements and stories about the origins of the glass industry, its history, and its original place, the role of glass is not limited to its usefulness, as it has a beauty that is clearly evident in its wonderful colors. Therefore, historians and specialist researchers believe that the peoples who were interested in these industries and arts were the people who preceded others in the future vision. It can be said that with the passage and succession of years and centuries, the status of glass changed from a craft to an industry, and the development of science and optics, the synergy between glass, the increased demand for it, and the improvement of its specifications played a prominent role in transforming glass from a craft to a science. Some areas that manufacture this material have become prosperous because it is a valuable material.
