Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى إبراز مكانة متيجة في العصر الوسيط جغرافيا وتاريخيا، إضافة إلى التعريف بأهم الشخصيات التاريخية والثقافية والفكرية المتيجية ومدى مساهمتهم في الحياة العلمية للمغرب الأوسط، كما اختلف المؤرخون في أصل كلمة متيجة بين من ينسبها إلى القبيلة الأمازيغية ومن يعتبرها اسم سهل كبير، أو مدينة صغيرة. كما أخرجت متيجة العديد من النخب خلال الفترة الوسيطة من علماء وفقهاء ومفكرين في جميع التخصصات، وقد جمعت سيرهم العديد من كتب التراجم والمناقب، حاولنا من خلال هذه المقالة إبرازهم ونفض الغبار عن سيرتهم.
