العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين الدولة الأموية والدولة البيزنطية

Abstract

يستعرض هذا البحث العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين الدولة الأموية والدولة البيزنطية في سياق تاريخي معقد يتسم بالتحديات الدينية والسياسية والعسكرية التي أثرت على طبيعة التفاعل بين الدولتين؛ ويهدف البحث إلى تحليل الأسس التي قامت عليها هذه العلاقات، والتعرف على الأدوات والوسائل الدبلوماسية التي استخدمتها الدولتان لتحقيق مصالحهما وسط التوترات والصراعات المستمرة، حيث يتناول البحث أبعاد العلاقات الثنائية بما في ذلك الاتفاقيات والمعاهدات التي أبرمت بينهما، وأثر تلك العلاقات على التطورات السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية في كلا الدولتين، ويستند البحث إلى منهجية تحليلية نقدية تسلط الضوء على الجوانب المختلفة لهذه العلاقات، وتقدم إطارًا نظريًا لتفسير تأثير الدبلوماسية القديمة على الديناميكيات الدولية في تلك الحقبة، ويهدف البحث إلى تعميق الفهم التاريخي للعلاقات الدولية بين القوى المتنافسة في العصور الوسطى، وإظهار أهمية التعاون والتواصل بين الدول لتحقيق الاستقرار رغم اختلافاتها العميقة. This research examines the diplomatic relations between the Umayyad State and the Byzantine Empire within a complex historical context marked by religious, political, and military challenges that influenced the nature of interactions between the two states; the study aims to analyze the foundations of these relations and to explore the diplomatic tools and means employed by both states to secure their interests amidst ongoing tensions and conflicts. The research delves into the various dimensions of bilateral relations, including the agreements and treaties established between them, and assesses the impact of these relations on the political, economic, and social developments within both states. This study employs an analytical and critical approach to highlight the multifaceted aspects of these interactions, offering a theoretical framework to interpret the influence of ancient diplomacy on international dynamics during that period. The study also seeks to deepen the historical understanding of international relations between competing powers in the Middle Ages, underscoring the importance of cooperation and communication between states to achieve stability despite profound differences
