Résumé The main purpose of this article is to analyze the specific role played by the review Al-Aṣāla "Authenticity" in disseminating historical information about the Andalusian topic. Using a methodology based on documentary analysis that includes primary sources, such as the various issues of the review, and other secondary sources, as well as statistical and analytical methods, this study aims to shed light on the space the review dedicates to the topic of al-Andalus. First, as a historical period that encompasses eight centuries of Islamic presence, and second, in its continuation in Islamic territories, including the Central Maghreb (Algeria), where it becomes part of the culture and identity of the host territories.

2-, 2017-11-27) BESTANDJI, Nabila
The XXI century saw the power of the media multiply tenfold, the latter transformed into real fabrics of meaning and disseminators of representations. The discourse employed in it cultivates the logic of the simple and the plausible. To this end, it enrolls a set of representations familiar and potentially decipherable by the consumer / enunciator, employed in the service of information which must be imperatively accessible by the general public. These representations, often stereotyped, appear as real strategies to make the other adhere to the discourses produced. The latter find themselves, therefore, entrusted with cultural, religious, ideological and societal landmarks, which appear as a panel of distilled images in the utterances, a sort of unavoidable link put at the service of the global weaving of meaning and identity. It is this complex web that we will try to unravel through the study of 104 Algerian advertisements

Jean Toomer’s “cane” Or The Search For Racial Identity
(Faculté des Langues Etrangères. Université d'Alger 2 Abu al-Qasim Saadallah, 2017-06-01) Kaced, Assia
Jim Crow and the continuing supremacist policies that characterized America of the 1920’s considered black people as savages, and placed them, accordingly, at the bottom of the social scale, next to apes. White writers of the era, influenced by the segregationist policies adopted by White America, placed African Americanson the periphery in their literary works. Consequently, the African American writers felt a great need to deconstruct the negative images of their people as drawn by their white counterparts, and try, instead, to make a more authentic representation of their people. In the present article, we will analyze the way Jean Toomer has interrogated, in his novel Cane (1922), the myth upon which racism and the subjugation of black people in America was built. We will also see how the African American writer has reconstructed history from an African American point of view.

A Discourse Analysis Of James Joyce’s Construction Of Identity In Dubliners And A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man
(Faculté des Langues Etrangères. Université d'Alger 2 Abu al-Qasim Saadallah, 2020-06-30) Ferhi, Samir
The present paper attempts to acknowledge and dig out the largely unexplored late Victorian and Edwardian ethos of subjectivity in James Joyce’s Dubliners (1914) and A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1916) and to show that Joyce himself, like much of his characters was bound by the ideologies of his age namely nationalism, Catholicism as well as gender conditions. In other words, this short analysis aims to show that Joyce’s collection of short stories and his novel not only give the surfaces of daily life in turn of the century Dublin, but they also expose the discursive and cultural contexts, ideologies, religiosity and gender forces that colonized Irish modern subjectivity.
