Item The Actor and the Subject-Agent in the Semiotic Analysis of the Paris School A Model Applied Study of Zakaria Tamer’s “Tigers on the Tenth Day”(جامعة ابو القاسم سعد الله الجزائر2, 2026-06-01) ابو بكر خالديClassical semiotic analysis, founded by A. J. Greimas and his colleagues, centres on the presence of stable meaning within discourse or the text. This meaning is analysed as an established reality within discourse and from a fixed perspective, on the assumption that stable signification relies on a set of semiotic tools for its disclosure. These tools also prevent such signification from being arbitrarily manipulated and prevent texts from being used for divergent utilitarian purposes. The concepts of the actor (acteur), the agent (agent), and the actant (actant) are fundamental to this analysis, since purposive and thematic roles intersect within them to constitute the true dynamics of the text.Item الفن التشكيلي في عصر الذكاء الاصطناعي -التحديات والتحولات(Revue El-Tawassol جامعة ابو القاسم سعد الله الجزائر2, 2025-12-31) محمد مخالديesearch examines the phenomenon of artificial intelligence, which has permeated all aspects of human life in our time. Spanish literature has always been inspired by traditional oriental Arabic poetry such as the Qasidah, located in the Andalusian historical past that had its roots in the pre-Islamic Arabic literature of the Jahiliya. In order for this influence to be justified, we have focused on the legends of Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, from Seville author inspired by Eastern mythology, especially Arabic and Hindu that he adopted, thanks to his readings of authors such as Conde de Noroña (1760-1816). Famous with his book Asiatic Poems (1833) that opened the taste for what is exotic and for what is oriental. That romanticists like Bécquer used to feed their imaginations creating legendary, exotic, supernatural and, above all, mythical characters from Arab and Hindu mythology, creating, in this way, simultaneously a great diversity and richness of themes nourished by traditions and distant beliefs.Item The Politics of Language Policy: English-Medium Instruction in Algerian Higher Education(Journal of Political Orbits -Abou Elkacem SaadAllah Algiers 2, 2026-06-08) ميساء العرباويEnglish has become the lingua franca worldwide and is used in various domains. As a result, many non-native English-speaking countries have adopted English as a medium of instruction (EMI) in higher education, including Algeria. While this shift aims to enhance academic development and international engagement, many teachers face linguistic and pedagogical challenges in implementing EMI. This study explores chemistry teachers’ attitudes and the difficulties they encounter in an Algerian university context. A questionnaire was administered to 30 teachers at USTHB. The findings indicate generally positive attitudes toward EMI, particularly regarding improved language skills and greater access to international conferences and research opportunities. At the same time, teachers report difficulties due to insufficient linguistic preparation and lack of prior training in EMI. The study underscores the gap between policy decisions and institutional readiness and recommends targeted language and pedagogical training to support effective EMI implementation.
