This pedagogical book is situated within this scientific framework and seeks to foster scientific and methodological thinking in the study of population issues. It does so by providing a systematic and accessible presentation of the theoretical and conceptual foundations of demography, with particular emphasis on major demographic indicators, population phenomena, and methods of their analysis. This pedagogical publication addresses the subject of human rights from a sociological perspective that links rights and fundamental freedoms on the one hand, and the social, cultural, and political structures of societies on the other. It aims to enable students to understand the basic concepts related to rights, the human being, and human rights, and to become acquainted with the various intellectual and philosophical trends that have contributed to the interpretation of these rights and the determination of their contents and multiple classifications. The publication also reviews the historical evolution of human rights from ancient civilizations, through the monotheistic religions and Islamic law, to the modern era and the intellectual and legal transformations that contributed to the establishment of a global system for the protection of rights and freedoms. The publication highlights the international and national sources of human rights, with a focus on the role of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the two International Covenants, and specialized international conventions, in addition to the legal and judicial mechanisms concerned with the protection of these rights and the monitoring of their implementation. It also examines a number of fundamental rights and groups targeted for protection, including the rights of women and children, the right to education, health, and work, and freedom of opinion and expression, while emphasizing the social and cultural dimensions associated with the exercise of these rights within society. The use of fillers to reconstruct missing parts of archaeological pottery is a fundamental practice in Archaeological Conservation, aiming to preserve the original form and reinforce structurally weak areas. This process relies on selecting materials that are physically and chemically compatible with the ceramic body, such as plaster, lime-based mixtures, or synthetic resins. Compatibility is a critical factor, as the filler must balance strength, stability, and reversibility, in accordance with the principles of Cultural Heritage Conservation. Additionally, the fill material should be slightly distinguishable from the original to prevent falsification while maintaining aesthetic integrity. The application process includes cleaning the object, securing fragments, filling gaps, and final surface finishing. Evaluation is conducted through visual inspection and mechanical and environmental testing. Therefore, selecting an appropriate filler requires scientific expertise to ensure long-term preservation and stability of the artifact.Item Revisiting the Vietnam War: A Postcolonial Critique of Assumptions and Captivity Narratives(Algiers2 University Abou El Kacem Saâdallah جامعة الجزائر2 أبو القاسم سعد الله, 2026) SEDDIKI, Rabia; KACED, Assia (Directeur de thése)This thesis revisits the Vietnam War through postcolonial lens in order to expose how American captivity narratives have continuously shaped, sustained, and repackaged imperial assumptions about Vietnam. The representation of the Vietnamese is a focal point in this study, which examines the different interpretations of the war and the ways in which Vietnamese are depicted through captivity narratives, with the aim of amplifying the perspectives of the indigenous people. By revisiting the Vietnam War through a postcolonial lens, we are able to challenge the assumptions and narratives that have shaped our understanding of the conflict. This approach not only provides a more nuanced and complex interpretation of the Vietnam War, but also highlights the importance of considering the perspectives of all parties involved in the conflict. It begins by highlighting language as a tool for thought, communication, and heritage transmission, emphasizing that oral and written expression is the ultimate goal of language learning, supported by reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The handbook includes 14 lectures covering topics such as transitioning from orality to writing, styles of written expression, and practical procedures like imitation, description, narration, summarization, condensation, report and research writing, essays, and answering questions. It aims to equip students with effective communication skills for academic learning, research, presentations, and social life. The lectures follow a gradual, simplified approach with references and footnotes. Mastering written expression is a key educational goal that stimulates research and develops mental abilities.Item فعالية برنامج إرشادي سلوكي معرفي في تخفيض مستوى الضغوط النفسية لدى طلبة السنة الأولى جامعي .دراسة شبه تجريبية بجامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا هواري بومدين بباب الزوار(Algiers2 University Abou El Kacem Saâdallah جامعة الجزائر2 أبو القاسم سعد الله, 2025) Sihem بوراي، سهام Bourai; خطار، زهية (مدير البحث)يهدف البحث الحالي للتعرف على فعالية برنامج إرشادي معرفي سلوكي في تخفيض الضغوط النفسية لدى طلبة السنة الأولى بجامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا بباب الزوار. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث تم استخدام المنهج التجريبي بتصميمه ذي المجموعتين المتكافئتين، بقياسين قبلي/بعدي. تكونت عينة الدراسة من 20 طالبة، تم وزعن بالتساوي على مجموعتين (ضابطة/تجريبية) بواقع 10 طالبات في كل مجموعة. وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في مقياس الضغوط النفسية، والبرنامج الإرشادي. وأسفرت النتائج على: 1- عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في متوسطي درجات الضغط النفسي للقياس القبلي بين المجموعة الضابطة والتجريبية. 2- عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في متوسطي درجات الضغط النفسي بين القياسين القبلي والبعدي للمجموعة الضابطة. 3- وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في متوسطي درجات الضغط النفسي ومصادره بين القياسين القبلي والبعدي لدى المجموعة التجريبية لصالح القياس البعدي. 4- وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في متوسطي درجات الضغط النفسي في القياس البعدي بين المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. 5- وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في متوسطي درجات الضغط النفسي ومصادره بين القياسين البعدي والتتبعي لدى المجموعة التجريبية لصالح القياس التتبعي The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of counselling program based on the cognitive-behavioural theory in reducing of psychological stress among university students. The experimental curriculum was used by designing it with two measurements (before / after) on a sample of students in the first year at university consisting of 20 female students, divided into two groups, control and experimental groups of 10 in each group. The research concluded the following results: 1-There are no statistically significant differences in the mean scores of the pre-measurement between the control and experimental group on the psychological stress scale. 2-There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and post measurements of the control group on the psychological stress scale. 3- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and post measurements of the experimental group, in favor of the post measurement on the psychological stress scale. 4- There are no statistically significant differences in the mean scores of the post-measurement scores between of the control and the experimental group on the psychological stress scale, in favor of the experimental group. 5- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of post and tracer measurements of the experimental group on the psychological stress scale, in favor of the tracer measurementItem (نوعية حياة الأولياء وعلاقتها بتطور حالة الطفل المصاب بالتوحد ( دراسة مقارنة بين عائلات جزائرية وفرنسية(Algiers2 University Abou El Kacem Saâdallah جامعة الجزائر2 أبو القاسم سعد الله, 2026) Ratiba Mebarka بن يطو، رتيبة امباركة Benyettou; بلميهوب، كلثوم (مدير البحث)تتناول هذه الدراسة العلاقة بين نوعية الحياة الأسرية لدى أولياء أمور الأطفال المصابين باضطراب طيف التوحد والتقدم النمائي لهؤلاء الأطفال، في إطار مقاربة عابرة للثقافات. اعتمدت الدراسة منهجًا وصفيًا ارتباطيًا مقارنًا، مستخدمة نسخة معدلة من مقياس مركز بيتش لنوعية الحياة الأسرية، إلى جانب تقييمات الوالدين لتطور أطفالهم. شملت العينة 80 وليّ أمر (40 من الجزائر و40 من فرنسا). أظهرت النتائج أن مستوى نوعية الحياة الأسرية يتراوح بين المتوسط والمرتفع في كلا السياقين، مع تفوق طفيف لصالح العينة الفرنسية، دون وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية. كما برز بُعدا "الوالدية" و"التفاعل الأسري" كأهم مكونات الرفاه الأسري. ولم تُسجّل علاقة ارتباطية دالة بين نوعية الحياة الأسرية والتقدم النمائي للأطفال. وتشير هذه النتائج إلى أن عوامل وسيطة مثل شدة الأعراض، ونوعية التدخلات العلاجية، ومستوى الدعم الاجتماعي، والصحة النفسية للوالدين تلعب دورًا حاسمًا. وتؤكد الدراسة أهمية اعتماد مقاربات متعددة الأبعاد وتعزيز أنظمة دعم أسرية متكاملة. This study investigates the relationship between Family Quality of Life (FQoL) among parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their children’s developmental progress within a cross-cultural framework. Using a descriptive, correlational, and comparative design, the research employed an adapted Beach Center FQoL Scale alongside parental evaluations. The sample included 80 parents (40 from Algeria and 40 from France). Findings indicate moderate to high levels of FQoL in both groups, with a slight advantage for the French sample, though no significant overall differences were found. “Parenting” and “Family Interaction” emerged as key dimensions of well-being. No significant correlation was identified between FQoL and children’s developmental outcomes. These results suggest that factors such as symptom severity, quality of interventions, social support, and parental mental health play a mediating role. The study highlights the need for multidimensional approaches and integrated family-centered support systems.
